A Beginning Can be Better Late Than Never...Right?

Hello fellow members of this wonderful AP Composition Blog community. It is truly a joy to be able to (finally) enter into the world of blogging. I suppose I should stop blabbering and begin to explain a little more about myself.

My name is Benjamin Kregness. I was born right here is madison and have lived in McFarland my entire life. Growing up, life was fairly easy. It's not that my family is incredibly blessed financially or that I was spoiled, there was just always a strong feeling of love that emanated through my home during my early years. One thing that is especially interesting and unique about my childhood (and actually my entire life) is that I live at a camp. To be more specific, I live at Lake Waubesa Bible Camp, which is just outside of McFarland. People always ask me what it was like to grow up on a camp. My most common response being, 'I don't know, what's it like growing up in a regular house?' But in all seriousness, growing up at camp was great. I am able to run around, and do so many things, from sledding to ski ball right, all with the luxury of staying at home.

I guess because this is a blog about myself I should discuss some of my interests and hobbies and such. Well, I have play football in the fall and run the hurdles in track during the spring. I am also involved in the productions such as the musical and the play that are put on each year. I love to sing and to write. My favorite films would have to be Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, A Clockwork Orange, and Memento (pretty much anything directed by Christopher Nolan). To be honest, I could probably fill an entire blog with posts about film. I am pretty much obsessed with it at this point in my life. I am currently watching through a list of the Top 250 Films Ever Made. My favorite books would be The Neverending Story, Watchmen, and The Hobbit. Foods that I love would have to include pasta and steak. I don't think there is much more to tell about my likes or dislikes except that I have collections of a lot of old things such as records and comic books.

Using a format stolen from several bloggers, I think I will share a little about my hopes and goals for the future. Upon graduating from McFarland High School, it is my plan to attend a 4-year university. I haven't settled on one college yet, but it would by a dream to go to Luther College. My passions have always been in the entertainment side of life, so I would love to be a music major with a double minor of acting and religious studies. By religious studies I mean that I would love to learn more about my own faith and grow my knowledge in that. I am an Evangelical Free Christian, and that is one of the biggest parts and passions of my life.

I thought about writing in conclusion to begin this opening paragraph, but that would sound incredibly lame. Instead, I choose to start out with a sentence telling you why I didn't start with in conclusion. Actually, I can't really think of what else to start with...

In conclusion, this is and will always be my first blog post of all time. Be kind to me internet...
